What Types of Dental Insurance Do You Accept?

At McKinney Smiles, we want to make it easy for patients to receive the outstanding dental care they need to look and feel their best. As a commitment to our patients, we Accept and Bill Most Major Dental Insurance Plans, including, but not limited to, Cigna, Aetna, Principal, Humana, United Concordia, and Guardian.

If you have any questions about the type of coverage provided by your plan, please feel free to contact our office for assistance in determining your benefits. Our experienced administrative team will help you analyze your plan and determine all covered treatments and services.

Will You Automatically Bill My Insurance?

Yes, our administrative team will automatically bill your insurance provider for all covered treatments and services. Thanks to our years of working with a wide variety of different insurance providers, our team at McKinney Smiles understands how to maximize the benefits our patients receive so they pay as little out-of-pocket as possible.

Unfortunately, we cannot bill for services not covered under a patient’s insurance plan. To prevent any confusion or the receiving of services not covered, we please ask that patients fully understand what benefits their plan provides prior to scheduling any appointment or agreeing to any treatments. If you require assistance in determining what your plan will provide, please feel free to contact our office prior to scheduling an appointment and a member of our administrative staff will happily assist you.

What Types of Treatments Do You Provide?

As an experienced McKinney family dentist, Dr. Lawrence provides patients with a comprehensive range of preventative, cosmetic, and restorative dental care services.

Whether you want to schedule a dental exam and cleaning, desire teeth whitening treatments for a brighter smile, or need to replace a missing tooth, Dr. Lawrence has the skill and knowledge needed to provide the type of care you require to look and feel your best.

What Type of Patients Are You Currently Accepting?

Currently, we are accepting new patients, referrals, and walk-ins (schedule permitting) of all ages. Dr. Lawrence specializes in providing dental care to every member of the family. From a child’s first dental appointment to providing advanced senior care, Dr. Lawrence will give every member of the family a reason to smile.

How Often Should I Schedule an Appointment?

Both Dr. Lawrence and the American Dental Association recommend that patients schedule a dental exam and cleaning once every six months. However, patients with certain underlying medical condition, who are pregnant, or who have severe cases of gum disease may need to schedule appointments more frequently. After completing an initial dental exam, Dr. Lawrence will be able to provide patients with a better understanding of how often they need to schedule an appointment.

Can a New Patient Receive a Cleaning During a First Visit?

During your first appointment, our team will conduct a comprehensive examination of the current state of your oral health. Your initial appointment will generally include a full series of digital x-rays, a periodontal examination, and an oral cancer screening performed by Dr. Lawrence. This information will provide our team with a clear understanding of a patient’s oral health needs so that a custom treatment plan can be created.

While we will try our best to complete a cleaning during a patient’s first appointment, we may not be able to achieve this with every patient. Depending on how long it’s been since a patient’s last cleaning, and the current state of their oral health, both factors will greatly influence whether the cleaning can be completed. Patients may need to schedule a second appointment if their cleaning cannot be completed during their first appointment.
